Like with female hormones, changes from Testosterone will not happen overnight either. However, results with testosterone are quicker for the FTM than estrogens with the MTF. Results may be noticeable in a few months. It may take up to five years for the full effects. Typically testosterone is injected. Injecting more testosterone is not going to yeild faster results and is actually very risky. Testosterone is considered a steroid. If too much is injected, the body can convert it into estrogen and thus, nullifying the effects of the testosterone. It's best to see a health care professional for the correct dosages. As with female hormones, testosterone is not going to change who you are inside. You may get cranky or more aggressive, but you the person will not change.
